Up until now I’ve always designed my websites using child themes based on a free wordpress theme that had all the right components.  It’s not always an easy process, but it allows me full creativity with the sites design.  However, as a business owner, I’m always looking for ways to make my process more efficient with better results.  Who wouldn’t, right?  So here is one answer:

You can take this as a review if you want, but I really want to let my readers know more about how Genesis Unlimited is continuing to grow and evolve based on the latest trends in website design and development.

Headway Theme promotes itself as a “drop and drag” website template.  And it is, to a point.  I have already on a number of occasions had to enter in my own custom CSS to get a page to line up the way I want, but they make that really easy to do.  I haven’t had to access any of the php files… yet, but I’m sure that when I get into some more advanced widget creation and placement it will be inevitable.  We’ll see.

Headway is easy to use.  I can now create 3 or 4 (or more) websites a week on my own without the help of any other designers or developers.  Those numbers are not factoring in things like graphic design, SEO, SEM or any of the other aspects of building a web presence, just the design.
